“do not defy the council, master, not again” is a reminder that obi-wan often sided with the jedi council, and only rarely did he share or even understand qui-gon’s perspective.
on serious note, the force sensitive girl knew she could master what he was putting out if she just focused, yet there were a plethora of other things in mind. head and heart were not always entirely present for she thought back to her FAMILY and how they might show up to find her no longer WAITING. darkest part of her being said she was being a DREAMER ; that they would never return, and though such a feeling rooted at core, rey tried to the best of her abilities to ignore.
obi breaking the SILENCE served to accomplish that ; his words aided as anchor, and the woman found herself smiling. ❛ i suppose you cannot. i did not think it through ; however, you could just hold me for fun ?❜ warm smile falters ever so slightly - FOCUS and DETERMINATION fighting back to regain control. ❛ i will get it. I PROMISE. ❜
Now a skeptical FROWN pursed his lips at the thought of any jedi training being ‘just for fun’. He’d taken his lessons so seriously for so many years, but then again, he’d had the luxury of a PROPER master, one who’d studied the ways of the Force during a time when these arts had gone nearly extinct. Obi-Wan reminded himself that, despite Rey’s ASTONISHING talent with the Force, she hadn’t been instructed the way he had.
————– That, and then there was her smile, always as warm as the sun she’d blossomed under. It made the corners of his own mouth twitch upward, turning his frown into something of a lop-sided smirk.
❝
How about this? I’ll stand here,
❞
he shifted to stand directly in front of her, facing her,
❝
and I’ll help guide your hands.
❞
reminder that i only play obi-wan as he is in EPISODE ONE( and occasionally prior to it as he is in the jedi apprentice series ), and that i won’t be rping as him in any stage of his life beyond apprenticeship. that being said, i DO have verses that span all eras of sw, so all manner of sw characters can thread with me!
the young woman was simply ASTONISHED by what she had set eyes on. frankly, whenever she was witness to what the man before her could do ; she found herself unable to keep from staring. he was GREAT, she truly thought so and that there was no other way to put it. ❛ —– you must TEACH ME to do that . . you can even put your arms around me and teach me in that manner.❜
He’d just finished demonstrating one of the Soresu form’s more advanced techniques, a fluid spin of the saber meant to simultaneously guard the wielder and turn an opponent’s power against them. To him, and with all his years of practice, it felt NATURAL, but he could imagine that, to Rey, it looked incredible. Upon her request, the lightsaber in his hand deactivated, its humming blue blade disappearing into the hilt, and he quirked an eyebrow at her.
❝
I can’t teach you if I’m holding onto you.
❞ (Not that he didn’t find himself wishing to be closer to her more and more, these days.) ❝
You simply need PRACTICE. Can you guess how many times I’ve performed that move to perfect it? I’d say possibly hundreds.

A Jedi was a Force-sensitive individual, most often a member of the Jedi Order, who studied, served, and used the mystical energies ofthe Force; usually, the light side of the Force. The weapon of a Jedi was the lightsaber, a blade made of pure energy. Jedi fought for peace and justice in the Galactic Republic, usually against their mortal enemy: the Sith, who studied the dark side of the Force. [x]
The fury in her eyes was unmistakable – a hate and rage that boiled up from deep within her breast. How dare he compare her to those Imperial scum? Murderers, tyrants, and genocidal bastards all of them. She made to advance on him, to put an end to his imperious accusations, when alarm klaxons blared through the ship. Hostile craft.
“The Empire is back,” she hissed as she turned her attention immediately away from the wannabe-hero on the bridge of her craft. Another alarm wailed as the ship rocked. They’d already begun opening fire on the Black Zero.
Running her hands across the cockpit’s controls, she hurried to key in coordinates – any coordinates – that could get her ship to safety. Another blast rocked the craft, sending sparks and electricity arcing across the console. A fire broke out above Obi-Wan. “Damn it!”
She slammed a lever forward as the console screamed warnings. Distant stars stretched out before them and they disappeared into hyperspace. When she turned back, her steely eyes settled on Obi-Wan with her mouth set into a hard, angry line. “It seems we are stuck together for now.”
The woman’s hostility had become PALPABLE, and not a moment after she moved to advance did obi-wan’s hand grasp the hilt of his saber. Only the sudden quaking of the ship stopped him from activating his weapon, a NEW danger now on the horizon.
❝ They’ll try to board, ❞ he warned, his attention diverted to the assaulting imperial craft, but the woman had already reached her navigation console. Before he could object, she’d warped them into hyperspace, far away from the empire’s vessel, and from his own.
❝ Are you mad?! ❞ The calm determination of only moments ago had become an unrestrained anger, and he closed the distance between them, their prior quarrel nearly forgotten.
❝ My ship is still back there———– they’ll CONFISCATE it! ❞
